Richard James Robinson Jr.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our brother, Richard James Robinson, Jr. aka “Rick“, 64, of Milwaukee, WI on February 4, 2024. He was born to parents Faye D. Robinson (d.) and Richard J. Robinson, Sr. (d.), on September 8, 1959 in Cleveland, Ohio. He graduated from DuSable High School in Chicago, IL in 1977.

Shortly after graduating from High School, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served for four years. Rick had an entrepreneurial spirit and invested in rental properties and also worked in the printing industry for many of years. Rick is survived by his only child and beautiful daughter, Dorice LaVitta Adams of Shelby, NC, sisters, Cynthia Maria Robinson-Gordon (Nate) of Chicago, IL, Debra Fay Gunter, (Darrell) of Ambler, PA and brother, Edward L. Robinson of Chicago, IL and a host of loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family has entrusted Paradise Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services in Milwaukee with Rick‘s cremation. For those who choose to attend the Military burial, the service will start PROMPTLY and last exactly 30 minutes (12:00pm to 12:30pm) on Friday, June 14, 2024 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood at 20953 W. Hoff Road, Elwood, IL and the Celebration of Life Service will follow in Chicago from 4:00pm to 7:00pm at the Dan Ryan Woods.
