Memories Timeline

  1. ReDeonna was one of the nicest people I have met, ever. She always greeted me (and seemingly everyone else she knew) with a big smile and often a hug. I had great respect for her and what she contributed to the community. If I live the rest of my life being half the person she was, I think mine would have been a life well lived.

  2. ReDonna will always be remembered as a

‘phenomenal’ woman! She was chosen to communicate a very important message…;and she exceeded all expectations. Soooo glad I had the opportunity to work with her and be her friend. I am saddened by her passing. My prayers to the family

  3. My condolences go out to the family and friends of Redonna. I met her years ago and she touched my life being a new resident here in Milwaukee, WI. I am forever grateful for knowing her. Redonna is love and this is what anyone met her felt. She was a wealth of knowledge and blessed so many people here in Milwaukee. God Bless and he will see you through this time.

    Love Ms. Brookshire

  4. ReDonna Rodgers touched my life in so many ways….a warm hug, beautiful messages, a loving poem and wisdom for living life! I will miss ReDonna and her positive words of encouragement. Her legacy lives on in the many people she touched. My prayers and condolences go out to Her Family. In Love, Jeanette Mitchell

  5. I became friends with ReDonna during our years as students together at Monmouth College in the late ’70’s – early ’80’s and she was one of my favorite people. She had a quiet energy and yet a wonderful calm confidence about her. She was patient with people, always had kind words and encouragement for everyone and was full of love. We had a lot of fun too! God has called her back to her true home and our world is a lesser place for her loss to us, but Heaven has become enriched with her strong and beautiful spirit.

  6. ReDonna was one of the most joyful, loving, inclusive people to ever have lived. The world was such a wonderful place for her being in it. Providing hope, encouragement and knowledge to young people was her passion in life. It’s been decades since we worked together, but I still remember her joyful voice and smile, and will miss her presence in the world. I’m so grateful to have known her and been inspired by her.

  7. My heart crieth out, ReDonna….but I rejoice with you! I remember all the moments and from them we grew and grew those around us. No words need to try and interpret what your living, breathing life was about. You made yourself perfectly clear and you never waivered from your course. I believe God is receiving a wonderful daughter who can finally rest in His deep deep Love.

  8. ReDonna, heaven doors opened and you entered. I thank God for your presence in my life and the countless lives of young people you influenced. You were more than a blessing and will always be remembered.

  9. My condolences go out to her family and the many friends that she touched. Working with ReDonna as a mentor for teen moms, the Black Women’s Network, church and just as a sister friend, she always had up lifting and encouraging words and advice to give. ” You,re beautiful, great, fantastic, you can do it!” Words that she often used with friends, students and people she just met. ReDonna, was a wonderful person who wanted to make an impact in the community, and she did. I will remember and miss you always. May you rest in peace.

  10. September 06,2017

ReDonna was a very great godmother to me I always thought of her as “Suga” she called me the same thing. I really miss her and I had some really good times with her, and just being around her. Rest in peace Sugar.

  11. ReDonna was always full of love, joy, and life. She impacted and encouraged so many lives, including my own. She is now in the presence of God – she will be greatly missed !!

  12. You will be greatly missed, more than I am able to express. Over two decades of knowing that you were simply a phone call away. Before, during and after Ronisha was part of W.A.G.E. Thank you, Mary, for letting me know. I am a phone call away. My heart is broken. Redonna…thanks for the Champagne-June 13, 1996

  13. Redonna was a kids love. My children were part of her program from age 8 until their teen years. They enjoyed making their own money and appreciated how excited she was about their creativity. All seven of my children are assessets to their communities My youngest of 7 is now 31 and has her own clothing trademarked line. I attribute Redonna Rodgers as one of the great villagers who helped promote them in the success they presently enjoy. Her energy and greatness will be missed. We send prayers up during this time for her family. Be blessed family, be blessed. Yolanda Cross

  14. Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always. ReDonna Rodgers was not just my Mentor; She was my Mentor. At times when I lost my path, it was unbelievable strength and gratitude that lead Me. She made my friends her, her friends and my family, her family. Losing her unconditional love not only tore My heart in half but it also has given Me a new outlook on my life and new found the role I must take on to keep her dream and my memory alive! ReDonna Rodger aka Ms. Rodgers you will always be in my heart and my pursuit to bring other’s happiness…. Antoine T. Mayes

  15. ReDonna always showed her energetic and sincere joy and love for everyone she knew. When I spent time with ReDonna, I knew they were special moments of caring, love, and celebration. Ms. Rodgers was a good friend and mentor to the students of Alverno College and the college community. She continually inspired students to reach for new ideas and to create new possibilities for serving others with their God given talents. Her many friends at Alverno College will deeply miss her. I will always cherish my memories of ReDonna. One memory is that when she would meet a new person, she would ask what day they were born on. She would then tell them that was a very special day when God gave us all a gift of your new life.
