  1. My deepest condolences to the Hamilton family for your loss! I pray that you find comfort in the Bible answer to “what happens when some dies.” Psalm 146:4 reads: “His spirit goes out, he returns to the ground; on that very day his thoughts perish.” Martha feels no pain nor worries. Soon Jesus’ voice will awaken her from death to the prospect of living forever in perfect health. (John 5:28-29)

  2. Dear Hamilton Family: Nothing saddens me more than to read of the death of someone so young. My heart goes out to all of you as you struggle to comprehend your loss. The mixed emotions of sadness and anger. I know it may be difficult to grasp this now, but Almighty God did not take Martha from you. He is a God of love (1John 4:8). Almighty God would never take Martha away from her loving family just to populate heaven. The imperfection we inherited from Adam & Eve is to blame. Adam and Eve chose to disobey God’s command (Genesis 2:16, 17) and brought upon us every kind of sickness, disease and death. (Genesis 3:17-19). Almighty God provides the glorious hope of the resurrection! (Acts 24:15; John 5:28, 29; John 6:40). He also promised “the righteous will possess the earth and live forever upon it. (Psalms 37:11, 29). At that time, there will be no more families ripped apart by death leaving them grief stricken and in tears. No more sickness of any kind, sorrow, old age, pain of any kind or death (Isaiah 33:24; Job 33:25; Revelation 21:3, 4). This is a promise from Almighty God who cannot lie (Titus 1:2).
