Resided in: Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Mark Kevin Turner Sr., born December 20, 1954, in Racine, Wisconsin, passed away on June 5, 2026. Mark was one of eight children born to Ethel and Charles Chuck Turner, raised in a home where faith, family, and hard work shaped his character from an early age. His spiritual foundation was nurtured at Second Baptist Church, where he developed the values that guided him throughout his life.

He is survived by his siblings Kent Turner, Lana Danner, William Turner, Derek Turner, and Kimberly Mataway. He was preceded in death by his brother Charles Turner, whose memory remained close to his heart. Mark was a beloved uncle to a host of nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He was that uncle — the one who showed up, who made them laugh, who taught them things, and who took pride in every one of those relationships.

A proud Navy veteran, Mark carried the discipline and brotherhood of his service into every chapter that followed. He was a gifted chef who expressed love through food, a painter and home renovator with a natural eye for restoration, and a skilled mechanic who could fix just about anything on a car. Mark loved fishing, the outdoors, and the peace of being near the water. But above all, he loved his family.

He leaves behind his children Mark Kevin Turner Jr., James, and Jessica, whose mother is Betty Sue Mckinnie. He also leaves behind his stepdaughter DeAnna Fields. Becoming a grandfather brought him immense joy, and he cherished every moment with his grandchildren. Though life sometimes created distance in certain relationships, the love Mark held for his family never wavered. Bonds remained strong, unbroken by time or space, and the foundation of love he built endured.

In his later years, Mark found companionship, comfort, and unwavering support with his partner Nancy, who remained by his side throughout his final chapter. Mark’s faith, generosity, humor, and steady presence touched everyone who knew him. His legacy lives on in the homes he restored, the meals he cooked, the engines he brought back to life, and the love he poured into his family and friends.
