Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Nate and I both worked with Gerald at St. Aemilian and became good friends/family over many years. His presence on earth will be missed but he is present with his Lord. Rest well my friend

  2. Condolences to the Family of Gerald Waites. He became part of ours over 30 years ago while visiting Beloit. You will be missed. The Buggs Families

  3. To Gerald’s family, we always compared shopping stories, what he was in the market for? Always a loving person. He will be missed. My condolences to the family. I pray of mending hearts, and blessings of laughter come based on memories. From Robbie

  4. Gerald will be missed, he always had a smile on his face and a kind word from his mouth. I worked with him for 6 years at St. A’s. I send my prayers and condolences to his family.

  5. I am having a hard time believing this is real. There is a saying that expresses that the Lord looks down and searches for the most perfect flowers for his garden. Gearld definitely enhances the heavenly garden. In our gloomy time of disease and death, Gearld radiates warmth, laughter, a bright smile, a giving heart to his heavenly family. My only peace is to know that he ran to the arms of his mom, uncle, and my mom. Yes, there is lots of family there, but I know the Lord allowed them 3 to be at the gate. Lord, I can see his face light up! He is happy and that is my peace, selfishly I release him.

  6. I remember every Saturday Mom would take us to the oasis movie theater on 27 th and center where as kids we would watch Bruce Lee matinees, I will truly miss you big bro boo boo

  7. I KNEW GERALD FROM JOHN MARSHALL HIGH SCHOOL. HE WAS ALWAYS A GOOD PERSON 2 BE AROUND. HE’LL TRULY BE MISSED. “HE MAY BE OUT OF OUR SIGHT BUT ALWAYS N OUR HEARTS!” REST ‘N PEACE FRIEND. CONDOLENCES 2 THE FAMILY.

  8. My thoughts and prayers are with Gerald’s family and loved ones today….he was a great man with a great big heart and a great laugh! His love of kids and seeing them do great things will always be one of his best qualities. This world will miss you, Gerald!

  9. It is in deepest sympathy I send my condolences to the family of Gerald Waites. I had worked with Gerald at St. A’s for several years. He was such a wonderful, kind, funny person. Gerald was always ready with a smile, so uplifting. Lifting you up in prayer, Caffie Shepherd-Hill

  10. Gerald was a kind and loving person. He was so helpful at UWM and always welcomed you with a smile when you saw him. He is going to be missed by myself, as well as the other members of the UWM Black Student Cultural Center. Continuous prayers for his family Victoria Pryor

  11. Gerald was such a light and a joy to have around UWM. Even during the shutdown, when I would periodically come to campus, I was filled with joy when I got to see him. His light will be missed. Rest in peace gentle soul.

  12. Since I started at UWM five years ago, Gerald has been a regular part of my experience there. He learned my name after a very short time, and was usually the first person I saw when I got there in the morning. He always had a smile for you, and was a great conversationalist. Even last semester with mostly online classes, I would see him after I taught my one on-campus course, and he would bring some sunshine into my day, usually stepping right in to disinfect the room the moment my class was finished. I will miss him a lot. Rest in peace my friend.
