Uncle Bill was the 1st male role model I had in life. I looked up to him in so many ways and always got excited finding out I was going to Auntie Marilyn and Uncle Bill house. I really enjoyed putt putt golfing and spending 1 on 1 time with him having certain conversations that never left me. My children never met them but they know who they are and that says a lot. Love you Auntie Marilyn and Family. E’det
I love Grandad and will miss him soooo very much!! He introduced me to sooo many firsts including golf clubs lol. But, it was the first time in life that I had a bratwurst from his grill it was over!! Thank you for your strength and wisdom over the years Grandad! We can still talk about football whenever!
I Never really knew my brother growing up since we were so many years apart in age and distance. I do however remember my very first Train ride to Chicago as a kid; my brother”Willie James,” made that happen. All I remember are Chicago landscapes and “Go Go.” I was later introduced to ” Bill” as an adult prior to Military and WE had the opportunity to reconnect in Life, about Life…I know he loved golf as much as the rest of the family does, including my Sister, but probably better. I’m sure my Eldest brother Lewis would disagree. He loved that which he chose as Family as shown over the years……..REST big “Bruh” Division Ends with Me….PEACE and Love…..Raleigh “Rah”
I will always remember Uncle Bill for his quiet warmth, strength and unique ability to relate to other people’s circumstances. Even though we lived in different cities, I was always excited to spend time with him and my Aunt Marilyn over the holidays— a special, special time. Like my Mom, he was a first hand witness to the joys of the family bid whist experience (smile) even though he didn’t partake, and he handled it with grace. I loved and will miss him. Preston Pugh
Brother Bill was a great brother and a role model to me, he was my sounding board. Being two years his junior, I would look up to him for guidance and leadership. In the latter part of his life we would talk about our experiences growing up together and apart. We would reminisce about our younger years, like when he worked as a waiter and I was the bus boy. When he joined the Army, thereafter, I followed and joined the Navy. Of course, there is a competition between the two branches of service and we would laugh about it. In our retirement years we both played golf…boy, he was a very good golfer! He had a single digit handicap, while I was more of a double digit handicap player. Also, we both shared political point of views and current issues in our States. We had fun. With his passing away, I have lost my sounding board. I will miss my brother but his memory will always be in my heart. May you rest in peace, Brother Bill. Love, John C Adams “JC”
Bill was a good Brother-in-law and Uncle to my son! He introduced my son to his favorite sport golfing. He also had talks with him about being a male. I loved my Brother-in-law! May he rest in peace! His Favorite Sister-in-law! 🙂
