Thelma Bridgeford

Thelma Lee Bridgeford June 20, 1947-December 31, 2021 Thelma Lee Bridgeford, age 74, passed away on Friday December 31, 2021 in Milwaukee, WI. Thelma was born on June 20, 1947 in Hensley, AR and was the only daughter of Henrietta Bridgeford ( Moore) and Oliver Wesley Bridgeford. She went to high school in Pulaski County and furthered her education as a graduate of Philander Smith College where she studied special education. Thelma became a special education teacher for several years with the Milwaukee Public School system until her retirement. She loved to bake cakes and eventually started her own home baking company called The Perfect Cake by the Perfect Lady. Thelma also loved to ride bicycles and raised money for the Miller Lite Ride for the Arts. She was also active in her community and contributed to several charitable causes and took steps to making the world a more accessible and equitable place for all. Thelma is survived by her only daughter, Edwanike Harbour of Madison, WI, her oldest brother Oliver Wesley Bridgeford Jr. of Omaha, NE, Ed Bridgeford of Fayetteville, NC, Kervis Bridgeford of Little Rock, AR, Felix Bridgeford of Little Rock, AR and nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents, and brothers Gerald Bridgeford, Sherman Bridgeford, Kenneth Bridgeford, and Eugene Bridgeford.
