  1. I was just thinking about Pam the other day, and then I received the notice at UWM about her passing. I just wanted to send along my condolences to her family. I used to work in the UWM Libraries building. Pam was always smiling and joking. Really brightened up my day. She will definitely be missed.

  2. My condolences to Pam’s family and friends. I work at the UWM Golda Meir Library and Pam and I often chatted–about humorous things and serious things. She was warm, thoughtful, outgoing, lively and a delight to have as a colleague. I will miss her.

  3. I worked at the library with Pam. She was an amazing light and I enjoyed talking to her. Last year I met a young mother who also worked as a custodian in another building. Pam helped her get a job on campus. I will miss her dearly. <3

  4. My condolences to Pam’s family and friends. I knew Pam from her time working in the Libraries. I always loved talking with her and hearing her laugh, which she shared generously. Wishing you all peace during this difficult time.

  5. My sincere condolences to the family of Pam Thomas. I’m the director of the UWM Libraries and I got to know Pam through her custodial work in the Libraries’ front office. Pam enjoyed connecting with other people and sharing stories. I was very sorry to learn of her passing. My best wishes to the family. Michael Doylen

  6. I’d like to extend my heartfelt condolences to Pam’s family and friends. I’m a librarian at UWM and got to know Pam when she was working in the Golda Meir Library and we became friends. She always had a smile on her face and was a genuinely good person. We chatted almost every day … I will miss her. And, I’m sure all of you will too. My heart and prayers go out to all of you. With Love, Kathy Bowes

  7. Jie, Ling, and I have fond memories of many chats with Pam in our office in Digital Collections at UWM. We will miss her.

  8. My heartfelt condolences w out to Pam’s w and friends. Pam’s and my friendship started my first day at UWM. Pam was extremely helpful. That was Pam thoughtful, helpfr, kind. If r was in need Pam would have a card, q collect. Pam made shirts in support for Trish’a (supervisor) mom, and appreciation banquet for Brian (supervisor) , and a going away party for me. Our special time together was our inches where one week she would buy, and the following week I would buy. Pam would occasionally fuss, especially If you didn’t get her food right. I was very impressed how many per Pam knew both staff and students because of her frr, outgoing nature. I had good times with Pam outside of work which included dinner, Miller Brewery tour, and State Fair Harvestfest. I will miss our conversations on the phone. Pam told me she was recently hospitalized. I told her I was so sorry to hear she wasn’t doing well. I told her I loved her and always thought of her as my sister. My dear friend will greatly be missed.
