  1. From Stanley Johnson:
    To the Payton Family,
My condolences to the entire Payton family you are loved and in my prayers.
May God Bless you during your time of grief. Try to take solace in the fact
that where your mother has gone she has no more pain, no more sadness, there’s only a peace and serenity that surpasses all mortal understanding.

  2. The Payton Family and the Johnson Family have been really good friends & neighbors for more than four decades. To this day I can still vividly recall your mother and my mother talking across the fence or sitting in one or the others dining room just laughing and talking the time away. I wonder what were they laughing and talking about? I’m fairly certain that at least one conversation had to do with how bad y’all were…LOL LOL… just kidding of course.
Those were truly the golden days no real responsibilities because we were safe & secure in the knowledge that all would be taken of. That’s why our parents worked so hard to take care of us all.
I remember how your father and my father would both leave out going to work early in the morning while it was still dark outside. They would pass a quick greeting to each other before jumping in their respective cars parked out back and, it was off to work for another long day.
Well they’re all gone now your mother was the last to go which, ended a golden era for me. An era of peace & tranquility which this world will never know again. For this loss, the loss of your mother & your father & all the others that proceeded them, this world is a sadder place. And the golden- era that we were fortunate enough to be a part of is a bit more tarnished as a result of their passing’s.
    My Deepest Sympathies,

    Howard Johnson
