  1. Barra Family: When a loved one dies, it is natural for our pain and grief to be unbearable Jesus felt this same grief when his friend Lazarus died. Acts 24:15 assures us that there is going to be a resurrection of the dead. This means many millions of people in the grave, like Ms. Margaret, will return to life on earth. The good news is that these resurrected ones will be able to learn the truth about God and be able to exercise faith in Jesus by obeying him. (Revelation 20:11-13) This tells us a lot about Jehovah’s love and undeserved kindness. He made hope for the dead possible by sending his Son to die for us. (John 3:16) Let us make it our resolve to be among the many who will welcome Ms. Margaret back to life when God’s will is done on earth. (Matthew 6:9-10) My deepest sorrows for your loss!

  2. To: Margaret’s Family, I wanted to express my heartfelt condolences to your family in your time of loss. For those who grieve there is no detour around it, there is no shortcut through mourning. However, 2Corinthians.4:7 says that God can give us, “… power beyond what is normal…”, to go from one day to the next. This does not mean that we no longer cry or that we forget. It means we recover. We recover because of our hope. Jesus Christ talked about our hope in John 5:28 which says, “… all those in the grave will hear his (Jesus) voice and come out…”. Jesus was referring to the resurrection, a bringing back to life, in the flesh, here on earth! That is our amazing hope! To see and be with our loved ones again, right here on earth!  The Holy Bible likens our hope to an ‘anchor for our soul’ (Hebrews 6:19). Just like an anchor stabilizes a ship, our hope stabilizes us and keeps us from drowning in overwhelming sadness. One way that God comforts us today is by moving people who care about us to give us words of encouragement that we need to hear. May ‘the God of all comfort’ be with you and yours now, during this time of sorrow (2Corinthians 1:3, 4)…… Please cut, paste and watch the attached short comforting video: https://www.jw.org/finder?wtlocale=E&docid=502017858&srcid=share

  3. Dear Barra family, I’m so sorry for your loss. This is one of life’s greatest challenges that we have to face. Jesus said, did and promised something that gives us comfort and hope. In the Bible at John 11:11-14 Jesus likens death to sleep. This comforts us in two ways; 1) we are assured that our loved ones are not suffering or in pain. 2) If a person is just sleeping he will wake up! Notice what Jesus does next at John 11:43,44 this is amazing! Jesus promised us something similar at John 5:28,29 what a beautiful hope we have! If you would like to know more details about this please download a free copy of the Awake! Magazine titled “Help for those who Grieve “@jw.org and read this along with your copy of the Bible .
