HOMEGOING SERVICES FOR LOUISE PINSON Louise (nee: Thomas) Pinson age 96, passed away peacefully at her residence on March 1, 2022. Louise was born on November 29, 1925, to the late Ella (nee: Smith) and the late Joe Thomas in Belden, MS. Louise resided in West Memphis, Arkansas before relocating to Racine in 1966, where she began her career in the workforce working at the Corner House. Louise was united in marriage to the late Gordon Ray Pinson on April 26, 1980. Louise worked at Case Corporation for 20+ years until her retirement in 1994. Louise was no stranger to hard work and with her work ethic and the love for her community, she took on the job as a crossing guard over the course of 10 years after her retirement until her health started to decline. Louise was a very energetic person who enjoyed bowling, cooking, shopping, traveling, and taking care of her family. She was known for hosting huge cookouts for her family and friends. Louise was a dedicated member of the Eastern Star Wisconsin Chapter as a Past Worthy Matron as well as the love for her church. Louise will be dearly missed by her daughter, Margaret Mycon, granddaughters, Vicki (Anthony) Keith, Tekika (Brian) McGee, and LaQonda (Sylvester) Johnson. Siblings, Luella Green and Josephine Gardner, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, dearest nephew, Larry Thomas, and a host of other relatives and friends. Besides her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by her sisters, Trannie Lee, Lily Bell, Annie Ruth, Mary Jean, Claire Mae, Samella, and Lou Ollie; son-in-law, Bill Mycon, and grandsons, Ernest and Reginald High. Homegoing services for Louise will be held on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, at 1:00 pm at Macedonia Church of God in Christ (aka Little Macedonia Church of God in Christ). Visitation will be from 12:00 - 1 pm. Interment is to be held on Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery (21731 Spring St, Union Grove, WI 53182). Funeral services are provided by Paradise Memorial Funeral and Cremation Services, Milwaukee, WI. Repass will be held at Fountain Banquet beginning at 2:30 pm, 8505 Durand Ave, Sturtevant, WI. Masks are highly recommended, but not required.
