I am so very sorry to read of Jimmy’s passing. This is late in coming as I just found out today. I have not seen Jimmy in years but I remember Jimmy had such a beautiful smile and a happy spirit. My sincere condolences to all his family & friends.
Jimmy or “Uncle Jimmy” as I remember him was a dear friend of my daddy, Harold Summers. My earliest memories of Uncle Jimmy were of him coming over to watch boxing matches with my dad when I was in early elementary school. Seeing him and my dad laugh and talk or pointing out their smiling faces in my parents wedding album are also things that I’m tremendously grateful for. Though I haven’t seen him in YEARS, I’m very grateful for his friendship with my daddy and send my sincerest condolences to his family and loved ones. Jimmy whom I affectionately called BLOCK WATCH had been my neighbor and devoted friend for more than 23 yrs. He was more like a brother to me and uncle to my sons. He loved my dog Precious too. He was ALWAYS there to help me out no matter what. He kept life real. He made this world a better HAPPIER place with his laughter and smile. Jimmy will certainly be missed..26th Street will never be the same without you. Our sincere and deepest condolences to the entire family.

I had the honor of working with Jimmy for many many years. He was the sweetest, kindest man. Always willing to help someone out. He loved fishing and usually had a cooler full of beer and towing his boat to the next spot. RIP Jimmy You will be missed ♥️🙏🏼
