Garry Webb

Garry Lakeno Webb was born on September 11, 1949 to the union of James Webb and Lizzie Marie (Hamilton) Lewis in Houston, Texas. Nevertheless, Garry was raised by Woodrow and Lizzie Lewis. Garry received his formal education from Milwaukee Public Schools and graduated from North Division High School. On September 21, 1971, Garry Webb was united in holy matrimony with Joy Ople Martin (deceased July 15, 1997). Garry enlisted into the United States Marine and after honorable discharge he then re-enlisted in the Army National Guard. He was honorably discharged on September 1, 1975. On November 1, 2003, Garry Webb, united once again in holy matrimony with Helen Jean Webb, 17 years together. Garry was a member of New Restoration church where he served as Security. He was employed by Milwaukee Public Schools for approximately 30 years as a Carpenter. After retirement from MPS in 2010, affectionately known as Mr. Webb worked for the Bradley Center (now known as Fiserv Forum) for 9 years as Security Supervisor. He took his job very seriously, even pro-players and/or owners struggled to get in without proper identification! In Garry’s leisure he enjoyed bowling, cooking, yardwork, movies, traveling, spending time with his grandchildren, in addition to designing and creating unique woodwork projects. Garry L. Webb departed this life on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at 9:51pm. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Webb, Woodrow and Lizzie Lewis, his first wife, Joy Ople Webb and his granddaughter, Maya Alisia Smith. Garry Webb leaves to cherish his memory Wife: Helen J. Webb, 4 Children: Garry (Shawana) Webb, Jr., Zandra Webb, Alisia (Rodney) Moutry, R. Kweku (Stacey) Smith, 1 Sister: Veronica Lewis, 10 grandchildren: Lucke Holman, Aliana Beatty, Josiah Webb, Cadence Webb, Austin & Cameron Moutry, Joie, Jonah, Noah, Skye Smith and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers.
