Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I’m still trying to accept the passing of a sweet, kind, beautiful , lovely lady. Our last conversations were filled with laughter and her plans for the future. Everything was so positive, as always. This lady could lift anyone’s spirit . She ALWAYS saw the good in people . Let us all speak her name and we will feel her closeness . She will always be our kind family treasure .

  2. Aunt Emily was by far one of the sweetest people I have ever met. She was always welcoming and genuinely kind, she had a heart of gold. When I learned of her transition, I was wearing the shirt that she and Syovata gave me during my last visit to Milwaukee, an example of kindness for no reason. She will truly be missed. Cousins, praying for your comfort.

  3. Granny, as she was so well-known as, will always hold a special place in my heart. From the very first time I met her, she was so sweet and kind and she was always able to put a smile on the faces of those around her. It was an honor to call her my Mother-in-law. She taught me many things, some I had to learn the hard way, but I am grateful for all of the lessons. She will live on forever in my heart. Our family loves and misses you. Now rest, Granny. You deserve it.

  4. I will always remember the conversations, laughs and outings Emily and I shared. Despite all her discomforts, she never used them as crutches. Always willing and ready to roll. She was such a determined fighter with a heart of gold and strength of steel. Her arms and home was always open. She was truly a loving person. I can’t explain in words how much I will miss her. She will always remain dear in my heart. Jennette ( Dennis )

  5. Miss Emily has always been welcoming, kind, and loving to my children and myself. She is truly an Phenomenal Woman. I pray to be half of the wife, mother, and grandmother she was to my husband, kids, and granddaughter. You will be truly missed and always loved. Sincerely, Shantelle Gardison

  6. Mrs. Alexandria had such a beautiful spirit. She was always so very kind to my family and me. I loved and admired the strong bond that she had with her family; she is truly an example of a virtuous woman.

  7. For 14 Years this Goddess i called my Auntie-Mother raised me and my children. She opened her home and her heart to me. Everyday around 7pm I always go by her house and I always say “Aunt Emily what we eatin and she will run down all the food she had prepared. She always made sure we had the the things we needed or she always provided a way Love you Goddess!!

  8. Emily it was always a pleasure To have you as a part of our monthly gatherings. You were always the life of the gathering. You would say things that would have everybody rolling in stitches with laughter. You will be truly missed. Gone from our vision but not our heart, mind, nor souls. RIP!

  9. When I was younger, my moma and I visited Milwaukee every summer. I looked forward to this trip every year; to see my Uncle Peewee, Auntie Emily, and ALL of my cousins. Emily was always nice, fun to be around, and a great cook. She always made us feel right at home. I love and will miss her!

  10. I have so many great memories of Ms. Emily throughout my life from those homemade dinner rolls, fruit cake every Christmas, and a seamstress that came through for me on many occassions. I’m grateful for the many words of wisdom she shared with me throughout the years. I’m glad we always ended our times together by saying we love each other. I will forever take each memory we had and carry it in my heart. Love you forever.

  11. I remember when we were young and driving in the car with my mom and sisters to “Emily and Peewee’s house” and thinking how much fun we were going to have once we arrived. And Emily would always be there with us, welcoming us and hugging us. She let us play all over the house and when we watched movies she was always with us. I miss her much. And I miss and love you my cousins. Kristy
