Guestbook

  1. Rest easy cousin .. you and uncle Al can find a fishing hole .. prayers and condolences to the immediate family

  2. To a great man and a great uncle a person can have. May you rest in peace and beyond through the heavens.

  3. My Condolences to Judith and the Momon family. My memory of Elvin Momon every year he would barbecue thru the night making his club’s picnics a great success. His timing was always to the point to deliver his perfect barbecue shoulder. His contributions were greatly appreciated. Elvin Momon was a kind gentleman he will be missed.

  4. Elvin, you will be truly missed. May God continue to comfort your family with his loving arms. Be Bless. Praying for the family.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  5. To the Momon Family! Sending healing Angels! With love from The James Gang and Team Hawkins (New York)

  6. Elvin was my ex-Father in law! Elvin! From the 1st day I met you, you treated me and my family, like your family. Thank you! I can never forget the 1st time I came to Milwaukee, you always had jokes about my New York accent 🙂 I also can never forget the 1st time I ate deer meat at your kitchen table and you told me it was steak. Lol! There are so many great memories with you Elvin, from Milwaukee to DC to New York to the Bahamas! You will always be one of the cool cats! I know mommy greeted you with open arms and a hit on your shoulder up in heaven. Say “Hi” to her for me. I will always remember you cooking on the grill! And every time I see someone eating Fish and Spaghetti I think of you (another 1st, for me, made by you). To Judy, Kenyatta, Jeremy and Family! I’m sending healing angels to you all, from my family. Stay strong! Love you all!

  7. Elvin, I am still in shock. Never would I have imagined that our conversation on Sat would be the last. And the fact that when I called you back, you said you hadn’t called but must have “butt-dialed” me…. I can’t help think Dad had a hand in this so that we could chat one last time. You and Judith were wonderful neighbors for many, many years; couldn’t have asked for better. After us kids moved away and Mom passed and it was just Dad in the house, the way you kept an eye out for him, if the blinds were open on time, if the flag was out, what he was up to outside, etc. was comforting for us as we wanted to give him as much space as we could, yet make sure he was ok. (At 95 he was still managing on his own.) Knowing you’d call if something was out of the ordinary was reassuring. It was appreciated more than you know and we can never thank you and Judith enough. I, along with your family and friends, will miss your stories of fishing, working the polls, cooking, etc. but have no doubt you are still telling them to those who will listen! Even writing this, I still can’t believe you are gone. You had just gone through so much and was looking forward to being out and about again….Rest in peace Elvin. You will definitely be missed, but never forgotten. Bless your heart. Deb Foote (and family)

  8. Dad, whether you were near or far you were always in my life when I called or needed you. Thank you for loving me unconditionally. I will cherish your life and the memories we had together. Love You Shuntel

  9. Elvin was a kind and generous man. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather… who adored each of those roles. I am thankful for having the blessing of getting to know him and seeing his love for his family. May he rest peacefully in eternity and his family find comfort in their wonderful memories with him.

  10. Wishing you peace to bring comfort, courage to face the days ahead and loving memories to forever hold in your hearts.

  11. Uncle Elvin was more than just an uncle, he was a supremely cool dude. I spent several summers with Auntie Judy and Uncle E as a child and I remember looking forward to it for months because they were so much fun. Uncle E taught me to fish. He even cleaned and cooked my first catch even though it was so small it likely wasn’t work the effort. He introduced me to bratwurst, one of my favorite foods. He even let me drive his boat. My uncle will be remembered for more than his bigger-than-life personality and contagious laugh. He will also be remembered for making you feel welcome and invited and important. I’m so sad to see him go but I’m mostly sad that I didn’t get to see him before his passing. I love you Uncle E. We miss you terribly.

  12. I worked with Elvin at the City of Milwaukee Election Commission, He was a great worker, a nice man and always wanted to cook something for us at lunch. He will truly be missed. We called him “E”. May God be with his family. Marilyn Burress

  13. To our grandpa Elvin Momon we love you and miss you dearly , we will miss your bright smile and your contagious laugh, from your granddaughters Vanessa and Natalia Momon❤

  14. Elvin your passing is still hard to believe but we know God does not make mistakes. Your life has touched so many people, your heart was so genuine and smile so contagious. You were always on the go keeping busy but “chilling” most of the time. Your time on earth was meaningful and you will always be in our memories and heart. Eternal life and love to you my dear friend. REST IN ETERNAL PEACE~ Jeanette

  17. I worked with Elvin the last 5 years, I will never forget E. He was amazing. Honestly never seen him have a bad day he had incredible energy and overall just a good time. I’ll miss him calling me in the off season to joke and checking on me and telling me about all the fish he’s caught over the summer. Thanks for all the wisdom and advise you’ve given me and the man you contributed to me becoming you’ve helped me more then you ever knew. R.I.P

  22. My name is Nona Chapman, Judith and I bowled together for many years. We adopted each other, Judith became big sis and Elvin was little brother! Occasionally Elvin would come and watch, he would give me pointers on how to pick up the “ten pin” after so many attempts still missed it! He said Nona throw the #@& ball at it ,as hard as u can! Guess what I made a ten pin!! We all loved Elvin, but God loved him more, he has gone home to be with his Father in Heaven. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. My Prayers are with the family.

  24. Elvin was my father in law. He was like my own father in many ways. He was very caring and also a straight shooter. I remember him grilling for a party I had when we barely knew each other. He loved cooking and I loved eating his food! He loved my son, his grandson so very much. He taught him how to fish and instilled the live if fishing in him. I could go on and on.. I love and miss you Elvin.

  25. Elvin was my brother-in-law. He was such a helpful person and always shared his knowledge. He was a VERY GOOD cook, father, uncle, grandfather and husband to his wife Judith and our family. He will truly be missed . . . .
