  1. To the Callender Family: Please remember with fondness the life Ms. Donna lived. Envision her now in a deep sleep awaiting to hear Jesus’ voice and awake to perfect life in God’s restored paradise. Matthew 20:28 helps us to focus on that life for Ms. Donna. “Just as the Son of man came, not to be ministered to, but to minister and to give his life as a ransom in exchange for many.” Jesus died so that Ms. Donna may gain everlasting life!

  2. To the family of Donna Callender, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your dear loved one; please accept my condolences. May you find comfort by drawing close to God in prayer, because as the Bible promises, “he will sustain you” during this difficult time. – Psalm 55:22

  3. Dear Callender Family: My deepest sympathies on your loss. Death is one of life’s greatest challenges that we as humans have to face. During the earthly life and ministry of Jesus Christ he said, did and promised something that gives us comfort and hope. In the Holy Bible at John 11:11-14 Jesus likened death to sleep. This comforts us in two ways; 1) we are assured that our loved ones are not suffering or in pain. 2) If a person is just sleeping he can be awakened. Jesus Christ demonstrated this in the case of Lazarus at John 11:38-44. Jesus, called out to Lazarus, his friend who had died and was burried four days earlier, saying: “Lazarus, come out!” We hold out breath, as we stare at the opening of the tomb… From inside, slowly, Lazarus approaches the doorway of the tomb and emerges still bound in his burial cloth! The extreme sadness and grief of the gathered crowd turns to unbounded joy as they embrace their beloved Lazarus! Jesus Christ joyfully shouts: “…Free him and let him go!” (John 11:44) Jesus Christ, is now back in heaven and has been given “… All authority…in heaven and on the earth” (Matthew 28:18). He will soon do the same for us, inviting our loved ones to “come out” of the grave. (John 5:28, 29; Acts 24:15; John 6:40). Then we, together with our loved ones, will enjoy endless life on a beautifully restored earth (Psalms 37:9-11, 29; Isaiah 11:6-9; Revelation21:3, 4). There is no one or nothing that can stop Jesus Christ from reuniting us with our beloved ones by means of a resurrection! ….. Please watch the comforting video: “Why Did Jesus Die?”

  4. In this sorrowful time, I would like to extend to you my heartfelt condolences. May God comfort your family during this difficult time. The Bible calls God “the source of life” at Psalm 36:9. The God who gave life to all of us is certainly capable of restoring life to someone who has died. For further information, please visit jw.org.
