Dear Colbert Family: When someone we love dies grief can overtake us like storm clouds that refuse to let the sun shine through. But keep 2Corinthians 4:6 in mind: “For God is the one who said: “Let the light shine out of darkness,” and he has shone on our hearts to illuminate them with the glorious knowledge of God by the face of Christ.” ….. Almighty God has let the light shine through giving us a “a furure and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11). Our future and hope is in Jesus Christ and the promised resurrection of the dead (Acts 24:15. & John 5:28, 29). We also have the grand promise from Almighty God of endless life on a beautifully restored paradise earth (Isaiah 35:5,6; Isaiah 11:6-9; Isaiah 51:3)…. This wonderful hope is a ray of sun shine with a breeze that will blow away the storm clouds of unending grief……. Please accept my sincerest condolence for the loss of your loved one. It’s a very stressful time when a loved one dies. Turning to these scriptures can give us a great deal of comfort. I am saddened to read of Claudette’s death. Allow me, please, to impart some good news that tells us what the Bible promises for her future. Psalm 37:29 assures us that “the righteous will possess the earth, and they will live forever on it.” Take a moment to envision the Colbert family on God’s restored paradise eRth enjoying the happy, peaceful, healthy life that he purposed for us.
