Tina Lynell Lewis was born on August 26, 1958, at Charity Hospital in Louisiana to the union of Virginia and Lawrence Lewis. Tina’s family migrated to Milwaukee, WI in the Mid 60’s. Tina received her formal education through the Milwaukee Public School System. She continued to achieve her associate’s degree in administration from MATC. Tina was employed through Milwaukee County from 1987 until her retirement. Soon after relocating, Tina met her lifelong friends Patricia Robinson and Marilyn Baldwin, this alliance became known as the Chain Sisters. Of the Chain Sisters, Tina was the first to give birth to her first born and only Son Minko Lewis. Tina later met and fell in love with Carvin Givens (B.K.A. Butch) whom she shared her life with until his passing. Tina welcomed Tricey (daughter in love) into her life and was later blessed with her greatest joy of all Koi Re’yai Lewis, her only grandchild.

Tina had a huge heart and a very nurturing spirit. She made sure that everyone she cared for was taken care of. Tina maintained loving relationships with nieces, nephews, friends and co-workers. In her leisure, Tina enjoyed spending time with her family, walking her dogs Big and Spirit, cooking, baking, watching MeTV, playing spades and bid whist, but above all, Tina loved to shop!

Tina is preceded in death by both her maternal and paternal grandparents, her father Lawrence Lewis, daughter Virginia La’Chelle Lewis, Life partner Carvin Givens, brothers Derrick Lewis, James Lewis, a number of close aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tina leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Virginia Lewis, brother Allen( Katrese) Mabon, her son Minko (Ke’Andra) Lewis, granddaughter Koi Re’yai Lewis, four God children, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, close co-workers and friends.
