Cynthia Bergeron

cynthia bergeron
Cynthia Anita Bergeron was born to the union of Willie Blue Sr. and Juanita (Heard) Blue on February 23, 1954 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She was the fourth oldest of nine children. Cynthia accepted Christ at an early age and the final days of her life, St. Philips Lutheran Church was her home. Cynthia received her formal education in Milwaukee Public School District where she attended North Division High School—excelling at her studies. Following graduation, she was offered a full scholarship to Spelman College but attended the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and finished at Alverno College in Milwaukee gaining a Business Management degree and minor in Computer Science. As a result of her education, she had an illustrious career at Bell/Ameritech and retired from both AT&T and WE Energies after over 30 years of combined service! Cynthia was the life of the party everywhere she went. She knew when to crack a joke and how to make someone smile. Cynthia loved volunteering her time to help others. She also loved spending a lot of time with family and friends, especially her children and grandkids. She enjoyed sharing knowledge, reading, learning, traveling, shopping, dancing, bowling, listening to music, and going to the theater. Those who knew her, knew she was the ultimate foodie. She was also a 2x Breast Cancer Survivor and was battling Pancreatic Cancer at the time of her sunset. Her children would like to acknowledge the support and love she received from several individuals during this extremely difficult time: especially her neighbors Ms. Patsie Brown, Neville and Nathalie Francis; cousins Judith Klumb and Annette Thomas; and sisters Anita, Lynn, Tracie Blue; and eldest granddaughter Adaysha Williams. Cynthia was preceded in death by her grandparents (Sallie Lue and Oscar Heard Sr., and Virginia and George Blue), parents (Juanita and Willie Blue Sr.), aunts (Eliza Hayes, Rosie Mathis, Burnerdean Evans, Susie Jackson, and Mildred Scott), uncles (Eddie and George Heard Sr.; James, Emerson, Ben, and George Blue Jr.). Cynthia was a devoted and loving mother to two children: Antoiwana (Fred) Williams and Courtney Bergeron. She also is survived by ten grandchildren: Adaysha Williams, Shadadria Bergeron, Brittany Williams, Kourtney Bergeron, Courtlyn Bergeron, Nicoran Williams, Governor Bergeron, Grace Bergeron, Evamarie Peck, Jazmyn Bergeron, one great-granddaughter C’ionna Ramsey, and her godson Seth Cocroft. Cynthia leaves to cherish her memory: her eight siblings, Kenny, Patricia, Willie Jr., Anthony, Anita, Lynn, Tracie Blue, Michelle (Scotty) Linder and a host of loving nieces, nephews, aunt, uncles and cousins. Cynthia was a selfless and devoted friend.
