In Loving Memory of Auntie
We called her Diva — and rightly so,
A light, a laugh, a graceful glow.
With style that danced in every room,
And presence that could chase all gloom.
Her laugh? Contagious — loud and free,
A melody of pure joy and glee.
It lingered long after she’d gone,
A reminder that life still sings on.
We’d sit and watch, in awe, in cheer,
While she got glammed from ear to ear.
Fresh hair laid, and lashes long,
In that living room she made feel strong.
My cousin fussed, applied with care,
While Auntie posed from her favorite chair.
She didn’t need a runway floor —
That house was Vogue and so much more.
Her charm could stop a clock mid-spin,
A wink, a smile, and she’d win.
She wore her spirit like designer threads,
Grace in her step, wisdom in her head.
Auntie just had it — that’s the truth,
From her golden heart to her timeless youth.
And though she’s gone, her love remains,
In laughter, lashes, and family names.
So when we gather, we still see
The Diva she was, and will always be.
Our memories warm, our hearts held tight —
Her spirit dancing in the light.
