Mrs. Ida Mae Lloyd

June 2, 1927 ~ May 12, 2025
Born in:
Itta Bena, Mississippi
Resided in:
Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Ida Mae Lloyd was born in Itta Bena, Mississippi on June 2, 1927. Ida was
bound in marriage on August 10, 1946, in Mississippi. In 1952 she moved
to Milwaukee, WI where she raised her children.
As a young mother, she kept a keen eye on her children. She attended
school events, field trips, and parent conferences. She also volunteered
many hours working in the schools they attended. She spent so much
time volunteering; she was hired as an employee. From that point on,
she worked for the Milwaukee Public School system as a Teacher’s Aid in
the Head Start Program. She worked with the school system for 25 years
until her retirement in 1991. She was a hard worker and was loved by
both teachers and students.
One of the happiest times in Ida’s life is when she accepted the Truth
and was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1977. Ida spent many
years pioneering with her pioneer partner by her side, Sister Magnolia
Jones. Ida was a quiet and reserved person, but when she learned the
Truth and started preaching, she became bold and courageous, and
people would stop to listen to her message of hope.
Ida’s sense of humor was who she was. Everyone loved her and felt
comfortable around her. She was always joyful.
Ida was preceded in death by her loving mother, Jessie Mae Jennings
and her beloved son, Clifton (June Bug) Adell Lloyd, Jr.
Ida departed life on May 12, 2025. She leaves to cherish her memory 7
beloved children. Mattie Lee Lloyd, James Arthur (Marian) Santiago-
Lloyd, Jessie Mae (deceased husband Edwin) Bonilla, Johnnie Harold
Lloyd, Mary Ann (deceased husband Otis) Billings, Mae Joyce Lloyd,
and Gloria Ann Lloyd. She also leaves behind a host of grandchildren,
great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren and many dear
friends, family and spiritual brothers and sisters.

May you rest in Jehovas embrace and his love. Until we meet again. I love you forever and ever.
Words can’t explain how I feel I can’t come up with the words to express how my grandmother impacted my life, childhood my memories of my granny is fresh as a garden just like the one she loved to plant things in she taught me how to be kind and loving to others I remember our weekly walk through neighborhoods as she knocked on numerous of doors spreading the word of Jehovah to others as I watched just how loved and respected she was even till her last days she would get on me like I was her lil man from the past I loved going to school with her in my adolescent days she really embraced me not only as her grandchild but she treated me like I was her son there were things if my mother couldn’t come through my grandmother was always there for me and vice versa my only thing that I’m hating myself for now at this very moment is that I didn’t contact or visit as much as I know she would’ve wanted my heart hurts and is not going to heal anytime soon I just lost my best friend and now my granny months later life isn’t fair I just can’t wait to see you at peace for the last time but I know you’re in good hands with the savior Jehovah at your side but until I see you again grandma I will always love and cherish you

I’m glad that I was able to spend the last couple of months of this year with her. Flying from Arizona to Milwaukee was all worth it; and the best part is that I was able to cook her meals and talk to her and sit by her bedside and hold her precious hand. I will forever hold many unforgettable memories in my heart of my Grandma. Love Always, your Granddaughter, Khadija! ❤️ 💙 💜 💖
